USO Ontario to Install Much Needed Shower Facility
ONTARIO - Construction of Shower Facilities at the USO Ontario
Recently there has been a 30% growth in the facility activity supporting military personnel passing from Fort Irwin without stopping at the main cantonment area. They usual spend two to three weeks in desert operations without bathing facilities. There is a need to provide them shower facilities before they embark from LA/Ontario Airport.
We plan to add two shower stalls in the area currently utilized as storage in the USO leased area. The build out will connect to the current 3” sewer line and water lines running through the area. The shower facilities will include a sink and a commode in each shower area. We will be connecting a washer and dryer to launder towels, etc.
The location will be contained in the current leased area of the facility and will require no additional space.
Contributions of materials, manpower and donations are always welcome. Please contact us and let us know how you can help.
